Mest 2- Brief

I will be working with John and Darnell

our first idea could be about John an ordinary science technician who goes to work and goes home and lives an normal life. then John gets court in a mix up with the international police corporation as they think he knows the whereabouts of his aunty and uncle, who are international criminals. John at first is confused but then begins to wonder how much he knows about his family. Leading to a manhunt for his aunty and uncle, putting his whole family in jeopardy.

another idea as a group we thought about was gang violence and  man who has  a past of being connected with gangs, and then one day people are sent from the gang to kill him without any warning possible. All the information about killing him is given out to the public and now valuable information about his family and important people in his life are given exposed. Now he must go on a manhunt to find the people aiming to withdraw his family from him before they get to his family first.

preliminary exercise evaluation

When it came to arranging me, john and darnell we accepted as a gathering that being composed was a major some portion of the task. So as to accomplish this we set every gathering part an assignment to do as such everybody had an obligation consequently we all added to the gathering. We as a gathering had a due date for all the arranging i.e. the storyboard, shot rundown and script to be all finished by Sunday. This empowered us to get on with the shooting straight away as we had all the imperative components for taping prepared, and we knew how we needed our last item to look.

For our generation the mise-en-scene could be changes on the grounds that we have to take lighting into more thought when taping. The activity code that were utilized functioned admirably particularly when mamduh pulled his hood down which brought on strain. The setting was additionally great as we could utilize the false reflect looking onto a dim room. Sound was likewise utilized well as it was unmistakably listened. Be that as it may, the tender loving care could have been exceptional as the altering format was photograph shopped as opposed to moving with time. The cinematography was likewise great in light of the fact that we had an extensive variety of shoots and we including breaks up and in addition magnificent camera shot functioning admirably with the traditions of a cross examination.

a further shortcoming would be as said in a matter of seconds before were essentially from sloppiness and correspondence it appears. Individuals were required in badly arranged times and this eventually constrained us to surge the entire creation, furthermore on the grounds that it experienced amid lesson times, a few rooms that we at first needed were being used. I additionally actually believe that the dialog and acting required change for my sake as in my eyes it kind of let down the consummation and the peak of anticipation. Something else to add while underway is to additionally not expect truly what you find in the sneak peak playback, an issue we confronted was that in the review, lights were totally in level, not excessively dull or not too light, but rather when it really came to altering the video, it ended up being way darker and didn't characterize the outline impact much. but in all fairness if we communicated more i guess we could have had a better result for our production.

EBI- re-do question 2

When the character sitting down is concerned, medium shots specifically are predominantly used, which are effective in showing what looks to be despair through his facial expression. As he  lights up the trail with the match though, a tracking shot (in addition to straight cuts) are used to follow the flame as it spreads. After this though, a tilt shot is implemented to show that the flame is being doused by this other character with his urine, who we're shown from a much lower angle. This is able to present him as a quite strong and dominant character in comparison to the other one who is shown from more of a higher angle, in turn providing an opposite effect.

As this second character walks down the steps another tracking shot is used which in combination with sound, which will be further explained in the next question, suggests the demise of the other character. As both characters converse though, this lower angle is used again, this time however only allowing us to see the torso of this character, his face not in shot. This inability to recognise this character helps add to this mystery of him, adding to this idea that he is something of a villain as outlined in Vladimir Propp's theory.

Camera work is also used to put the more violent elements of the scene off-screen, as we don't actually see the character sitting down being shot. Rather, all we view is the barrel of the pistol before this takes place through a medium shot, with the sound of the gunshots letting viewers understand what exactly took place. As the killer flees from the scene of the crime, a tracking shot is implemented again which further adds to this idea of this villain character being able to: 'live to fight another day.'

planning

1. in the far corridor lies a dormant science technician,(John to be exact) who as he is walking along the corridor notices something very suspicious in a dark room.
(John pauses turns to enter the interrogation room)

2. (In interrogation room/ unknown classroom)
Enters character 2 (second in command concerning interrogation) who then grabs John and places him on the chair in a dramatic way.
At first John is bewildered as it may seem on the contrary how a regular science teacher can be caught up in such an unknown and confusing situation.
3. Character 3- (main interrogator character enters from the dark corner)

He then begins to question how much John knows about his family, and talks about how John’s uncle and aunty live a bonnie/Clyde styled life and are international criminals.
  4. (John stands up dramatically, with a bewildered face)
John begins to express how he has no idea about any family situations involving crime, but the main interrogator does not believe him

John then sits down, knowing he is caught in a mess which he will soon due to regret!

editing

The scene i decided to pick was from The Dark Knight Rises, in which batman and bane encounter on their second battle. I chose this scene because it implicates different narratives in particular, and effectively seduces the audience.
In this scene the exorbitant utilization of straight cut removes all as tautness highlights the development of pressure. This is uncovered when a cut-away is utilized toward the begin of the battle keeping in mind the end goal to give the gathering of people they may be endangered during the  strained battle that will happen. Because of the use of  action codes for instance when the charge by batman towards bane. As the battle turns out to be more serious there's a more regular jump shot to a nearby shot of a women in which enigma codes could be asked'who is this women?'. The nearby  container could have been used to stress her nervous outward appearance. Applying Propp character hypothesis, Batman is obviously the primary hero and the saint as he is attempting to defeat the villain and create a new equilibrium. The diegetic sound during  the battle is occurring gives the feeling of uncertainty batman will win the battle against the ferocious villain in bane, in which a disequilibrium is involved as the audience do not expect the villain to defeat the hero.
The parallel sound we continuously hear of men fighting fits perfectly with the scene as it connotes the importance of batman and banes second fight as this could crucially determine the outcome of weather the villain prevails the hero or if batman gets the upper hand against bane. the speech at the end in which batman states "then i give you my permission to die" implicates batman has the full confidence to believe he has defeated bane and that is where the equilibrium is put in safe keeping.

media awards

Keeping in mind the end goal to have a decent/effective generation I think a ton of arranging needs to happen and everybody must make a decent commitment to the work. On the off chance that you are working in a gathering I trust everybody ought to add to thoughts for arranging and have just as set assignments. Having a gathering pioneer would be a smart thought as well as they can beware of whatever remains of the bunch's advancement and verify that everything is running easily. According to the two creations that I've picked I've seen that 'the analysis' was better as far as bringing on strain attracting the gathering of people. A basic and clear story was depicted without exaggerating the measure of clasps and distinctive shots they utilized. I think keeping it minimal is important because if you add too much to the story you may begin to confuse your audience or even give away the whole story. The less you give them , the more they want. Another aspect of a good practical production is the props you use and the way the characters act. Using props in your film is a must as your scenes will basically be boring without them. Things like weapons, bags , bottles etc. make a difference in your film especially if close-ups are used on them as they could be significant later down in the  In terms of characters acting I think a ton of feeling must be put into it to make it more sensible , the characters must go about as if they are truly in that position with a specific end goal to offer the film account to the group of onlookers. In conclusion never forget to spare your work like clockwork , as loosing a great deal of diligent work would take a considerable measure of time and vitality to do once more

The experiment was one essential productions because of the use of different camera shots , diegetic and non-diegetic sounds which created a lot of tension for the audience. The 2 minute clip begins with a non-diegetic sound which is a voice over , this instantly signifies to the audience that a story was going to be told. As the voice over is played a number of shots are also played at the same time , allowing the audience to understand the concept of the story clearly. One of my favourite shots in this short production was the panning shot of the main character when she was running away. The panning shot allows the audience to feel as if they are the main character themselves as instead of seeing her run off out of the shot and out of our sight we continuously see her running which makes us feel like we are going wherever she is going. This creates tension as we are now more engaged with the film and we know that she is in danger so we feel as though we are in danger too. In terms of cinematography in the beginning of the short clip we are shown text on the screen which again engages the audience as we are basically forced to read it as if we don't ,we may feel as though we missed some important key aspects of the film. I also noticed the contrast between the dim and bright lighting in different scenes. At first when we are introduced to the main character and her story a lot of things are in black and white and dim lighting however, when we see her in the big green field this shot is in colour. I feel as though this was done to show the contrast between her dark past and her 'new beginnings' , perhaps her running away from her problems will be her new life. In terms of editing I noticed a lot of straight cuts were used in order to speed up the pace of the film , this is a great technique if you want to create tension and make the audience more engaged as they are intrigued into the story.

Labrat

To begin with in terms of mise-en- the camera work of close-ups and medium shots of the scene were truely breathtaking, that comprised of grass and tree limbs. The account was likewise exceptionally straight - story was not confused and was justifiable. The mis-en-scene was significantly illustrated, for instance hoodies to hint something mysterious, and the cosmetics wounds were amazing as well. More so we can see a lot of props being used which helps the audience to understand the film narrative more clearly. The use of the lab coat, glass beakers and other scientific equipment tells the audience that the main character may actually be a smart boy with hidden talents. This creates enigma codes as they may ask questions like 'what will he do with the equipment?' and 'does he have hidden talents?'. The use of the non-diegetic sound , which was the main character's voice over, allows the audience to understand the film's narrative clearly as he begins to tell us his story. I can also see a number of different camera shots such as close ups, long shots and medium shots. The use of close-ups of the main character's hands shaking and his black eye shows us great detail of his emotions. We could easily tell that he was nervous when his hands were shaking and the extreme close-up of his black eye signifies that some violence may have occurred which may tell the audience that the genre for the film is action or drama.  I personally really liked the main characters acting , his body language and facial expressions contrasted very well with the film narrative. In the beginning of the short film he looked very distressed and upset whereas towards the end where he was in his own quite space he looked very happy. He appeared to be extremely reluctant and insecure in the first place, particularly when he was in effect physically manhandled. However when he entered the lab his shoulders were up-straight and he appeared to be exceptionally certain about what he was doing. As far as altering I saw that a great deal of straight slices were utilized to make a snappy pace for the story and to rapidly hop into distinctive scenes. There were additionally some blur in shots used to go into distinctive scenes with a specific end goal to depict a flashback to the crowd
